Seed Oils Are NOT Healthy

Seeds have evolved to prevent animals from eating them.

It is disadvantageous to the plant to have its seeds eaten by animals.

Therefore, seeds contain (in addition to nutrients that support the seed’s germination and growth) compounds that deter animals from eating the seeds.

These compounds (maybe alkaloids) deter the animals from eating the seeds by one method or another.

There are some animals that are specialize to feeding on a particular plant’s seeds.

These animals have evolved ways to neutralize the plants defenses, but this is not true of all animals.

In general it is probably wise to avoid eating seed oils.
